FILIPINO STUDENTS TAKE CHARGE OF SAVING SAMPALOC LAKE

San Pablo City, Laguna, Philippines : An estimated 180 students, teachers, advisers and community leaders participated in Aguaterra Institute's Integrative Systems for Intuitive, Natural and Creative Technologies Workshop for the Environment December 4, 2012 at the San Pablo City Central School. The workshop participants broke up into 9 working  groups to discuss the problems facing Sampaloc Lake and the urgency of taking direct action to save it from pollution and other urgent concerns. The participants came from all seven elementary school districts and the high school as a separate district. The event was a collaborative project of the Friends of Seven Lakes Foundation (FSLF), the regional Department of Education and the Aguaterra Institute.
