PAGSASAAYOS NG PAMBANSANG LANSANGAN, SA TULONG NI CONGRESSWOMAN IVY ARAGO

Sa flag ceremonies noong Lunes ng umaga, ay iniulat ni Mayor Vicente B. Amante na ang pagsasaayos ng mga seksyon ng pambansang lansangan sa sakop ng Lunsod ng San Pablo ay tinutustusan mula sa mga pondong nahiling ni Congresswoman Ma. Evita R. Arago mula sa ilang Senador na umaabot sa kabuuang P80-milyon, na ipinatutupad sa tulong ng DPWH-Laguna Subdistrict Engineering Office na naka-base sa Barangay Del Remedio.


Ito ay ang tulad ng paglalagay ng asphalt concrete over-lay o paglalatag ng ready-mixed asphalt tulad ng nasa kahabaan ng Avenida Rizal sa kalunsuran. Ang prosesong ito ay gumagawang mabilis ang pagpapatupad ng paggawain, na nakatutugon pa sa pamantayan ng pamahalaan para maging matatag at matagal na pakikinabangan ang isang paggawain.


Natutustusan din ang mga kinakailangang paglilinis sa mga padaluyan ng tubig-baha sa baybayin ng kahabaan ng national road sa sakop ng lunsod, upang maiwasan ang pag-apaw ng baha sa lansangan, na nakakapinsala sa preno ng mga sasakyang nagdaraan dito. (Ben Taningco)

DOÑA LEONILA (MINI-FOREST) PARK

What is now known as Doña Leonila (Mini-Forest) Park overlooking the Sampaloc Lake is actually a portion of the site for the City Hall Complex purchased in 1937 by the Municipal Government of San Pablo headed by President Inocencio Barleta, which was partly developed after the termination of World War II under the administration of appointed City Mayor, Dr. Fernando A.
