RED CROSS BUILDING, IPINAAYOS NI CONGW. IVY ARAGO

Nabatid na ang San Pablo City Red Cross Building, na siya ring kinalalagyan ng blood bank ng Philippine National Red Cross ay ipinaayos ng Tanggapan ni Congresswoman Ma. Evita R. Arago by contract na pinangasiwaan ng DPWH-Laguna Sub-District Engineering Office na naka-base sa Barangay Del Remedio, lunsod na ito.


Ang paggawain ay binubuo ng pag-aayos sa mga sirang bahagi ng kisame, at pagpipintura sa loob at labas ng gusali upang ito ay maging kaayaayang tanggapan para sa paghahatid ng mga palatuntunang pangkalusugan at panglipunan, na ang nakararami sa napagkakalooban ng tulong ay ang mga sadyang mahihirap na residente ng pamayanan, sang-ayon kay Chapter Administrator Dorie P. Cabela.


Ang pagkapagsaayos ng gusali ay sa kahilingan nina Alkalde Vicente B. Amante, Konsehal Danny Yang, at dating Bise Alkalde Palermo A. Bañagale.


Iniulat ni District Engineer Federico L. Concepcion na sadyang nangangailangan ng ang gusali ay isaayos dahil sa ang huling pagsasaayos ng gusali ay isinagawa may ilan ng taon ang nakalilipas, at dapat ito laging maayos dahilan sa ito ang sentro ng mga pagsasanay sa first aid ng mga kumukuha ng caregiver course sa mga paaralan sa loob at labas ng lunsod, at karaniwan ding ang mga blood letting project na itinataguyod ng mga samahang sibiko at organisasyon sa paglilingkod ay dito ginaganap.(Ruben E. DOÑA LEONILA (MINI-FOREST) PARK

What is now known as Doña Leonila (Mini-Forest) Park overlooking the Sampaloc Lake is actually a portion of the site for the City Hall Complex purchased in 1937 by the Municipal Government of San Pablo headed by President Inocencio Barleta, which was partly developed after the termination of World War II under the administration of appointed City Mayor, Dr. Fernando A. Bautista. During the incumbency of elected Mayor Lauro D. Dizon Sr., with the help of the Rotary Club of San Pablo, and under the supervision of Dr. Juan B. Hernandez, then club secretary of the local Rotary Club and Chairman of the City Beautification Committee, constructed some park structures at the park, with the fountain featuring the country lass with agriculture harvest as centerpiece.
