Join the M. O. B. sa SM City sa Enero 5

Pag-alinsunod sa ipinaiiral na kautusang lunsod, na binalangkas upang maipatupad ang mga itinatagubilin ng Batas Republika Bilang 9003, na lalong kilala bilang “Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000,” simula sa darating Miyerkoles, Enero 5, 2011, at sa lahat ng susunod pang mga Araw ng Miyerkoles, ang lahat ng mga namimili sa SM Supermarket sa SM City San Pablo ay dapat magdala ng sariling bag o sisidlan ng kanilang mga pinamili, dahil sa ang gagamitin sa mga araw na iyon ay sisidlang yari sa papel o paper bag, at ipinagbabawal ang paggamit ng plastic bag, tulad ng popular ngayong sando bag. Ito ang ipinababatid sa lahat ng mga tagatangkilik ng supermarket na ipinarating ni Assistant Store Manager Romualdo A. Porlay Jr.







Ayon kay Jun Porlay, ito ang kahulugan ng mensaheng nakalimbag sa isang tarpaulin na “Join the MOB” o Join the My Own Bag Project, na ipatutupad din sa SM Supermarket sa SM City Calamba. Ang SM Supermarket ay regular na nagbubukas sa ika-10:00 ng umaga, at nagsasara sa ganap na ika-9:00 ng gabi.






Ipinaaalaala ni Jun Porlay na ang bag na maaaring dalahin para maging lalagyan ng pinamili ay ang yari sa pandan, na karaniwang tinatawag na bay-ong o basket na bangkuwan, yari sa damit o tela, at kung yari man sa plastic ay yaong paulit-ulit na magagamit o hindi ang sando bag na disposable o minsan lamang magagamit sa isang supermarket. DOÑA LEONILA (MINI-FOREST) PARK

What is now known as Doña Leonila (Mini-Forest) Park overlooking the Sampaloc Lake is actually a portion of the site for the City Hall Complex purchased in 1937 by the Municipal Government of San Pablo headed by President Inocencio Barleta, which was partly developed after the termination of World War II under the administration of appointed City Mayor, Dr. Fernando A.
