ANG POSTAL IDENTITY CARD AY BINAGO NA

SAN PABLO CITY - Nagpapaalaala sa lahat, lalo na sa mga nagbabalak na maglakbay o pansamantalang manirahan sa labas ng lunsod na ito, na ang Philippine Postal Corporation ay nagpalabas na ng may bagong disenyo na Postal Identity Card, na may bisa sa loob ng tatlong taon, na ang halaga para ito matamo ay aabot sa kabuuang P370.
Ito ay yari sa plastic o PVC na nakakatulad ng iba pang government-issued identification card, halimbawa ay ang ipinagkakaloob ng Social Security System (SSS), at ng Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), na dahil sa ito ay nagtataglay ng ilang “security markings,” ay higit na pinagtitiwalaan pagkakakilanlan ng mga bangko at mga institusyon ng pamahalaan.
Sang-ayon kay City Postmaster Gemma C. Medallon, ang pangunahing pangangailangan para makapagtamo ng bagong Postal ID ay (1) Application form na ihahanda sa tatlong kopya, (2) orihinal na kopya ng birth certificate na hiniling sa Local Civil Registrar o sa Philippine Statistics Authority; at (3) alin man sa barangay certificate, o billing statement, tulad ng electric or telephone bill; o police clearance. At ito ay tumatagal ng isang buwan bago mapagtibay at maipagkaloob ang Postal ID sa humihiling nito.
Hindi na kailangang maglakip ng larawan katulad noong dati, sapagka’t ang kahilingan sa New Postal ID ay inilalahad sa mga Post Office na kinikilalang “data capture station,” o inihahanda sa tulong ng computer tulad ng sa pagpaparehistro sa COMELEC Office ng mga botante.
Sa halagang P370.00, ang P330.00 ay bilang Postal Identity Card fee, at ang P40.00 ay para sa paghahatid ng Postal ID sa tahanan o tanggapan ng aplikante sa pamamagitan ng registered mail.

    Think before u get one. Most of time this identification card is not honored. I wonder why. Had postal id's before... Renewed a few times. Wala lng....pangpasikip sa wallet.

DOÑA LEONILA (MINI-FOREST) PARK
