10th National Skin Disease Detection and Prevention Week (SKINWEEK)

Nabatid mula kay City Health Officer Job D. Brion na kaugnay ng pagdiriwang ngayong Nobyembre 8 – 14, 2009 ng 10th National Skin Disease Detection and Prevention Week (SKINWEEK), ilang kagawad ng Philippine Dermatological Society (PDS) ang magkakaloob ng pagsusuri sa mga may karamdaman o maysakit sa batat sa darating na Linggo, Nobyembre 8, 2009, simula sa ika-8:00 ng umaga hanggang ika-12:00 ng tanghaling tapat sa Main Office ng City Health Office sa Groundfloor ng 8-Storey Building sa kahabaang ng Mabini Street.

Sang-ayon kay PDS President Georgina C. Pastorfide MD, sa taong ito ay itutuon ang pansin sa pagdiriwang ng SKINWEEK sa pagpapaalaala sa mga mamamayang Pilipino sa kahalagahan ng pagkakaroon ng tamang kamalayan sa sakit sa balat, at tuloy maipaunawa ang halaga ng maagang pagkabatid na ang isang tao ay may karamdaman sa balat, at ang mga pamamaraan upang ito ay maiwasan.

Kaya dapat asahang habang hinihintay ang pagkakataong personal na masuri ng manggagamot sa balat o dermatologist ay may health educator na magkakaloob ng mga payong pangkalusugan na may kaugnayan sa mga karamdaman sa balat.

DOÑA LEONILA (MINI-FOREST) PARK

What is now known as Doña Leonila (Mini-Forest) Park overlooking the Sampaloc Lake is actually a portion of the site for the City Hall Complex purchased in 1937 by the Municipal Government of San Pablo headed by President Inocencio Barleta, which was partly developed after the termination of World War II under the administration of appointed City Mayor, Dr. Fernando A.
