PANGANIB SA PAGTITINGI NG GASOLINA

Sa isang pakikipanayam kay FiremanInspector Cornelio Puhawan, Officer-in-Charge ng Office of the City Fire Marshall ng Bureau of Fire Protection kamakailan, napag-alamang ipinagbabawal ng mga umiiral na alituntunin ang pagtitingi ng gasolinang tinatakal sa botelya ng soft drink, na ang mga suki ay ang mga tricycle driver, sapagka’t ito di-umano ay labag sa mga alituntuning pangkaligtasan laban sa sunog, at maging ang kalusugan ng nagsisipagtinda nito ay nalalagay sa panganib dahil sa nalalanghap nila ang singaw mula sa gasolina na makasasama sa kanilang baga.

     Ayon kay Insp. Puhawan, maganda ang natanggap niyang feedback na ang pangangasiwa ng Iglesia Ni Cristo sa Lokal ng San Pablo City ay nagtatagubilin sa kanilang mga kapatid na iwasan ang pagtitingi ng gasolina na tinatakal sa bote, at iwasan din ang pagtitinda ng liquefied petroleum gas (LPG)  kung walang store room na sadya para rito, dahil sa ito ay mapanganib na pagmumulan ng sunog, at banta sa kalusugan ng mga nagsisipagtinda nito. DOÑA LEONILA (MINI-FOREST) PARK

What is now known as Doña Leonila (Mini-Forest) Park overlooking the Sampaloc Lake is actually a portion of the site for the City Hall Complex purchased in 1937 by the Municipal Government of San Pablo headed by President Inocencio Barleta, which was partly developed after the termination of World War II under the administration of appointed City Mayor, Dr. Fernando A. Bautista. During the incumbency of elected Mayor Lauro D. Dizon Sr., with the help of the Rotary Club of San Pablo, and under the supervision of Dr. Juan B. Hernandez, then club secretary of the local Rotary Club and Chairman of the City Beautification Committee, constructed some park structures at the park, with the fountain featuring the country lass with agriculture harvest as centerpiece.
