SM will bring excitement to Laguna when SM City San Pablo opens this Friday, October 1.On opening day, six hundred members of drum and lyre bands from ten public and private schools in the city will welcome guests and shoppers. Participating schools will be Liceo de San Pablo, Canossa College, Laguna, College, San Pablo Colleges, Laguna State Polytechnic University, San Pablo Central School, Magcase Ville, San Cristobal Placido and Guerilla Elementary School. Street dancers from San Pablo Colleges, St. Joseph School, Lakeside, and San Pablo High School will delight shoppers with their hip moves. Later in the day, Kapamilya stars will make a surprise visit to the mall. A fireworks display will cap the opening day.
Saturday, Oct. 2, Andi Eigemann of "Agua Bendita" fame will join in the celebrations. Mall tenants will also prepare fun activities for lucky shoppers who will take home prizes and freebees. A pyro-musical show will thrill audiences with its play on music and lights. Hearthrob Sam Milby will have a mall show on Sunday, Oct. 3, with a pyro-musical show as the finale of the opening weekend.
There are more community activities at SM City San Pablo the following week: Awarding Ceremony of the Outstanding Family and Overseas Factory Workers by the Overseas Workers Welfare Adminstration (OWWA) on Oct. 4 and National Teachers Day celebrations on Oct. 5.
On Friday, Oct. 8, Six Part Invention rocks San Pablo with a performance at the mall. On Oct. 9, the Kapuso Network occupies centerstage with the GMA Danz Showdown.
