A call center is a centralized office used for the purpose of receiving and transmitting a large volume of request by telephone on behalf of a large corporation.
The opening of a locally owned and home-grown call center have proven that San Pablo City has a pool of world class talents according to Past President Ed de la Cruz of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. –San Pablo City Chapter. San Pablo City Cyberlink Call Center now provide employment opportunities to young people and spur economic development in the city for the Province of Laguna. A good number of its pioneer employees, such as customer service representatives, technical support representatives, and information technologists have transferred to bigger agencies paving the way for other youth gain entry in the call center industry.
Aside from Prudente, who is the Immediate Past President of PCCII-San Pablo City Chapter, other local business leaders behind the San Pablo City Call Center are Ed de la Cruz, owner of Collete’s chain of buko pie stores; Atty. Ken Javaluyas, Vice President of Seven Lakes International; Apolo A. Dayan, General manager of Kash Care Lending Corporation and past president of PCCII-San Pablo; Gary Joven, owner of LG General Merchandise; Danny Banayo, coconut farmer/ agribusinessman; Dr. Rolando A. Inciong, international communications consultant and co-founder of Academia de San Ignacio de Loyola; City Councilor Angelo L. Adriano; Romy Race, owner of R. V.
