With JCI Senator Albert Raphael Angelo “RIP” A. Lesaca, national president of Junior Chamber International Philippines (JCI-P), as the principal guest and main speaker, the JCI San Pablo Seven Lakes will have their 60th Annual Induction of Officers and Turn-0ver Ceremonies this coming Saturday, March 15, 2008, at Coco Palace Hotel along Maharlika Highway in Barangay San Francisco, this city, with the program to formally start at 6:00 o’clock in the evening.

The outgoing president is JCI Member Rafael “Raffy” Reyes dela Cruz. The incoming president is JCI Member Normandy Inarda Flores.

Under the leadership of President Raffy, JCI San Pablo 7 Lakes received four (4) major awards, and two (2) merit awards during the recently held National Convention in Cebu City, making it as one of the most decorated chapters in the Philippines.

The four (4) majors awards are Best United Nations Millennium Development Goals Project for Project: Stop AIDS. Keep The Promise; Best Sports Development Program for Project: 11th KABYAW ( A Bikathon Race to visit city’s seven lakes); Best Youth Activities Program for Project: Youth Leadership Camp; and Best Public Health Program for Project: Adopt A School: Feeding Program. The two (2) merit awards are: Best Public Relations Program for Project: JCI Mardigras; and Education for Peace Program for Project: Academic Olympiad. In effect, JCI San Pablo Seven Lakes rank 10 in the final JCPEA Counting which is an honor considering that there are more 200 active JCI local organizations in the country today.

The major projects of JCI San Pablo 7 Lakes for Administrative Year 2008 are the 2nd Selection of The Outstanding Government Employees (TOGE) with the cooperation of the City Government of San Pablo; Barangay Fogging Operations with the cooperation of Liga ng mga Barangay sa Lunsod ng San Pablo to help institutionalize the campaign against dengue fever and create awareness on public health; JCI Week on April 13-18, 2008; Beyond Prison Wall; the 12th KABYAW; World AIDS Day Awareness Campaign; Youth Leadership Excellence Awards (YLEA), JCI Summer Workshop, the 2nd Academic Olympiad; and Lakbay Aral according to President Normandy. The local Jaycees as in the past, will actively participate in all activities and programs of the various local government units whenever invited to take its part, he added.

More popularly known in the community as San Pablo Jaycees, JCI San Pablo 7 Lakes was formally instutionalized on November 13, 1948 with the installation of its officers held at the then roof garden of the old City Hall attended by the JCI Dignitaries at that time led by Manila Jaycees President Ramon V. Del Rosario..

The third chapter to be formed in the Philippines, first being Manila Jaycees, and Cebu (City) Jaycees as second, the Charter Officers were Miguel Suarez, President; William Burns, Executive Vice President; Manuel Bienvinida, VP-Internal; Feliciano Alcantara, VP-External; Juan B. Hernandez, Secretary; Hipolito Magno, Treasurer; Pedro Alvero, Jose R. Azores, Archimedes Brion, Enrique Capistrano, Gregorio Leonor, MaximinoM. Magcase, German Reyes and Feliciano Ticzon, Directors. The young chapter first project was "Keep the City Clean Campaign" implemented through distribution of more than 100 garbage cans all over the city proper designed to inspire the city residents to keep the city clean and beautiful. Ang papatapos ng Proposed San Pablo City General Hospital na itinatayo sa isang loteng kabalantay ng kampus ng Dalubhasaan ng Lunsod ng San Pablo (DLSP) sa Barangay San Jose ay magagawang self-liquidating sang-ayon kay Alkalde Vicente B. Amante, sapagka’t ito naman ay mapagkakalooban ng accreditation ng Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), kaya ang mga mahihirap na mamamayan ng lunsod na naipatala sa PhilHealth sa ilalim ng sponsored program na umaabot na ngayon ay umaabot na sa 10,000 ay malalagay din sa payward sapagka’t sasagutan ng PhilHealth ang kabayaran sa mga pangunahing paglilingkod ng ospital

Nabanggit pa ni Mayor Amante na ang mga diagnostic equipments na ilalagay sa nabanggit na pagamutan ay yaong mga wala sa Pagamutang Panlalawigan ng Laguna o dating San Pablo City District Hospital upang ang dalawang institusyon sa paghahandog ng mga paglilingkod na pangkalusugan ay magkatulungan.

Sa tulong ng mga manggagamot na nasa Estados Unidos, na nagsisipagbalak ng bumalik sa Pilipinas, at maging ang maraming propesyonal na kilala sa Metro Manila, na nagbabalak ng sa probinsiya manggamot, ay umaasa si Mayor Amante na ang proposed hospital ay magkakaroon ng mga Specialty Clinic na pangangasiwaan ng mga specialist doctors and diplomates na magkakatulungan sa pagkakaloob ng tulong na pangkalusugan sa mga mahihirap na mamamayan sa ospital heneral ng lunsod para sa malawakang pagpapagaling sa mga dinapuan ng karamdamang diabetes, puso (o cardiology), psychiatry o suliranin sa isip, pulmonology, sakit ng mga sanggol at bata, physical theraphy, at orthopedic para sa mga nababalitaan ng buto.
