After attending the Asia Pacific Conference of the Junior Chamber International (JCI) held in the coastal City of Busan in South Korea last May 28 to June 1, JCI Member Loreto “Amben” S. Amante, when the host chapter learned that he is a city administrator, was given the opportunity to visit the Industrial City of Gumi in the Province of North Gyeongsang, between Seoul which is on the Northwestern part of South Korea, and Busan on the Southeastern side of the peninsula, where he meet some of the city officials led by the city vice mayor.He also toured some sections of Seoul.
The 2008 Asia Pacific Conference was attended by some 8,000 delegates representing 25 countires, to include some observers from several European and African countries. It was presided by JCI Executive Vice President Lon Tomlin of JCI United States of America,, with JCI President Graham Hanlon of JCI Ireland as guest speaker. The 80-member JCI Philippines Delegation was personally led by National President Raphael “RIP” Lesaca, and JCI San Pablo Seven Lakes was represented by JCI Members Raffy R. dela Cruz, Jonjon Aranguren, Normandy Flolres, and Amben Amante.
