MGA DERMATOLOGIST, MAGLILINGKOD SA SAN PABLO


SAN PABLO CITY - Sa pakikipag-ugnayan kay City Health Officer Job D. Brion, ang Philippine Dermatological Society, kaugnay ng kanilang outreach activities and information dissemination on skin and nail wellness, ay magtatalaga ng isang team ng mga manggagamot na espesyalista sa larangan ng sakit sa balat o dermatologist sa City Health Office sa umaga ng darating na Sabado, Nobyembre 15, 2008 upang maghandog ng walang bayad na pagsusuri sa mga may karamdaman sa balat. Ang ganitong pagbubukas ng dermatological outreach clinic ay taunang proyekto ng PDS na isinasagawa sa pakikipag-ugnayan sa mga local government unit upang matiyak na ang makikinabang ay ang masa o ang mga karaniwang mamamayan na ipinalalagay na walang kakayanang makapagpasuri sa mga espesyalista.


Ang Philippine Dermatological Society, na ang mga miyembro ay sinasabing specialty society ng mga “Physician Devoted to Skin health,” na ang kasalukuyang pambansang pangulo ay si Dra. Arnelfa C. Paliza, noong nakaraang buwan ng Mayo, sa kombensyon ng Philippine Medical Association (PMA) na ginanap sa Manila Hotel, ay pinagkalooban ng "Testimonial Recognition For Most Outstanding Projects By A Specialty Society”


Napag-alaman na bahagi ng advocacy program ng PDS ay ang pakikiisa sa pandaigdigang pananawagan na ang mga may sakit na ketong o leprosy ay hindi dapat pandirihan at dapat na maluwag na tinatanggap ng lipunan. (Ben Taningco)

Passed the BAR Examination in the State of New York, U. S. A.

Miss Philippines-USA 2004-2005, Barbara Jean Chumacera Apostol, 27, passed the New York State’s examination for admission to the BAR given on July 24-25, 2007 . She attained her law degree at Hofstra University School of Law in the State of New York where she graduated with honors last May 20, 2007 . At Hofstra Law School , Barbara was the Vice President of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association and was appointed to the position of Diversity Affairs Coordinator by the president of the Student Bar Association. Ms. Apostol was a 2002 cum luade graduate of Boston College, one of the oldest Jesuit University in the United States with campus in Chestbut Hill, Massachusetts, where she majored in pre-law and communication studies.
