The Philippines now has the highest number of confirmed cases of Influenza A (H1N1) in Southeast Asia, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).

All cases showed only mild symptoms of the disease and no deaths have been reported so far.

July 1, 2009, there are 1,709 confirmed cases of Influenza A(H1N1) or Swine Flu in the Philippines. All cases showed only mild symptoms and 1,485 or 86% of the cases have fully recovered. One swine flu death, however, was reported — a 49-year-old woman who had heart disease. Thanks so much for sharing.
