MGA BAGONG HALAL NA PINUNONG BAYAN, SASANAYIN

SAN PABLO CITY – Sa isang memorandum na may petsang Hulyo 2, 2010, na ipinaabot sa lahat ng mga local government operations officer sa Lalawigan ng Laguna, ipinarating ni Provincial Director Teodorica G. Vizcarra ang guidelines para sa pagkakaloob ng pagsasanay sa mga bagong halal na pinunong bayan, mula sa punumbayan, pangalawang punumbayan, at mga kagawad ng sanggunian.

Binigyan ng paksang, “Knowing My Local Government Unit,” layunin ng pagsasanay ayon kay Director Vizcarra na ang mga newly elected officials ay mabigyan ng sapat na kamalayan sa operasyon ng yunit ng pamahalaan lokal na kanilang pangangasiwaan, tulad ng mga pangunahing alituntunin at regulasyon na dapat nilang kabisahin, ang kalalagayan pisikal ng lokalidad, at ang kalalagayan sa pananalapi ng pangasiwaang lokal.

Ang pagsasanay ay “Orientation seminar on local governance based on the Local Governance Performance Management System (LGPMS)” ayon sa isang regional officer ng Department of the Interior and Local Government na naka-base sa Calamba City.

Sa pagsasanay, ayon kay Bb. Vizcarra, ang mga elected officials, ay sasamahan ng mga department head ng pangasiwaang lokal, at ng mga kinatawan ng pribadong sector sa pamayanan, upang ganap nilang maunawaan ang tamang pag-uugnayan ng iba’t ibang ahensya o tanggapan na may kanya-kanyang ispisipikong gampanin at pananqutan. DOÑA LEONILA (MINI-FOREST) PARK

What is now known as Doña Leonila (Mini-Forest) Park overlooking the Sampaloc Lake is actually a portion of the site for the City Hall Complex purchased in 1937 by the Municipal Government of San Pablo headed by President Inocencio Barleta, which was partly developed after the termination of World War II under the administration of appointed City Mayor, Dr. Fernando A. Bautista. During the incumbency of elected Mayor Lauro D. Dizon Sr., with the help of the Rotary Club of San Pablo, and under the supervision of Dr. Juan B.
