Angel here was formally opened last Wednesday morning (May 30, 2007) and now being used by personnel assigned to help norture, protect and preserve the 384-hectare watershed for Malabanban Spring Source. The narrow concrete steps will help facilitate easy monitoring, survey, and project implementation, as well as help protect the wildlife in the area, and for maximum sustained yield of water resources from the spring.
As a requirement provided for in the Code on Sanitation of the Philippines, only authorized personnel must enter watershed area of any spring that serve as source for communal water supply system, and even their movement are limited by the assigned activities they must perform within the area.
