Cohesive City Government of San Pablo

SAN PABLO CITY - The San Pableños according to newly elected Vice Mayor Frederick Martin A. Ilagan a smooth working relationship between the executive and the legislative branches of the City Government of San Pablo, for as the presiding officer of the sangguniang panglunsod, he would try to ensure that the local legislative body could pass and enact important and meaningful ordinances and resolutions, particularly the economic legislative agenda of Mayor Vicente B. Amante. This is the gist of the remark given by Mayor Ilagan during the first flag ceremonies held at One Processing Center last Monday morning upon his assumption as vice mayor and presiding officer of the city council.

Ilagan said he will continue his habit keeping in touch with those in the grassroots, and stressed that building a better future entails giving focus on the aspect of positive performance and by helping promote the potentials of the city.

Of course, he admintted that it would take at least a month before they could develop cohessiveness and group dynamic, since the first meetings will be devoted to election of committee chairmanships for the various standing committees, though admittedly, only three of the members are considered new comers.

The new comers are Councilors Danilo R. Yang, Arserio A. Escudero Jr. and Paolo Jose Cristobal C. Lopez, Councilor Dante B. Amante is a balik-concejo being a former three-termer . (Beneta News)

Miss Philippines-USA 2004-2005, Barbara Jean Chumacera Apostol, 27, passed the New York State’s examination for admission to the BAR given on July 24-25, 2007 . She attained her law degree at Hofstra University School of Law in the State of New York where she graduated with honors last May 20, 2007 .
