Understanding the Automated Election System



It is 5 months before the May 2010 elections. Pulse Asia reveals their latest survey on Knowledge of the Automated Election System. Their survey fieldwork conducted from October 22 to 30, 2009 reveal that "Most Filipinos (61%) have little or almost no knowledge at all about the automated election system (AES) that will be implemented in May 2010."
Are you in the 61%?

The survey was done when Voter's Education on poll automation was just beginning to take place.  The voters need to see the machine, get a hands-on experience and participate in the mock elections. Before that takes place, let’s not make it sound like an intimidating experience.  COMELEC needs to show the public the final ballot with all the names in it, sample  ballots printed out so voters can practice at home. San Pablo City’s Hagdang Bato

             Nobody knew the number of steps it has:   when it was constructed and by whom,   until Mayor Vicente B.
