69 Inmates Nagsipagtapos sa San Pablo City District Jail

“Alternative Learning System: Kabalikat sa pagbabagong buhay.” Ito ang naging paksa sa ginanap na ika-4 na palatuntunan ng pagtatapos sa San Pablo City District Jail noong nakaraang Lunes ng umaga,  Marso 28, 2011, na, dinaluhan nina City Councilor Arnel C. Ticzon, Punong Barangay Rosilon C. Exconde, J/SInsp Neil Ramo, Laguna Assistant Provincial Administrator; J/SInsp Arvin T Abastillas, District Jail Warden; J/SInsp Adelaida A Taburada, District Jail Wardress; J/Insp Victor M Manalo, Deputy Warden; SJO4 Liza I Valentino , C,IWDO; Mrs. Beverle Belen, ALS Mobile Teacher; Mr. Catalino Q. Pornobi Jr. , ALS Coordinator; at iba pang miyembro ng DepEd-Division of San Pablo City; at  Mr. Norjim Villanueva, na isa sa mga nauna ng nakatapos ng high school sa ilalim ng ALS o Accreditation and Equivalency Test Passer,   bilang panauhing pandangal at pangunahing tagapagsalita..

     Ang 13 sa 69 na nagsipagtapos ay nabigyan ng pagkakataong makapag-aral sa kolehiyo o nakasulit sa secondary level, at ang iba ay tumapos ng pagsasanay para maging mga reflexologist.

     Naisakatuparan ang nasabing programa sa pagkakaisa at pagtutulungan ng Department of Education (Deped) sa pamamagitan ng Alternative Learning System (ALS) at ng San Pablo City District Jail na bukas sa mga programa na makakatulong at makapagpapabago at makapagpapaunlad sa kaalaman at kasanayan ng mga taong pansamantalang  natanggalan ng kalayaan.

     Sa kasalukuyan ay patuloy pa rin ang iba’t-ibang programa na ipinapatupad ni J/SInsp Arvin T Abastillas at J/SInsp. Adelaida A Taburada na makatutulong sa pagsisimula at pagbabagong buhay ng mga taong minsang naligaw ng landas. Kanila ring pinauunlad ang buhay-ispiritwal ng mga napipigil sa district jail sa tulong ng ilang religious group sa lunsod.. (BJMP-San Pablo District Jail Release).

Si Abogado Felicisimo Tobias San Luis, na isinilang noong Hunyo 23, 1919, at lumaki sa Bayan ng Santa Cruz, ay nanungkulang Punonglalawigan ng Laguna simula noong Disyembre 30, 1955 hanggang sa siya ay papagpamahingahin noong Disyembre 18, 1992, o siya ay tuloy-tuloy na nanungkulan sa loob ng 36 taon, 11 buwan, at 18 araw, na kinikilala ng kasaysayan na siya ang natatanging lider na nanungkulan bilang punong tagapagpaganap ng isang lalawigan sa Pilipinas sa ganoong kahabang panahon.      Isang mabuting mananalumpati, nang ibaba ni Pangulong Ferdinand E. San Pablo City’s Hagdang Bato

             Nobody knew the number of steps it has:   when it was constructed and by whom,   until Mayor Vicente B. Amante asked his private secretary to actually count the number of steps and copy the wordings on the tablets affixed on the lower part of the park structure.             The Hagdang Bato (concrete stairway) leading to the Sampaloc Lake, which is now a famous local landmark, is now part of the logo or official seal of San Pablo, being the City of Seven Lakes.           It was constructed in November 1915 under the administration of municipal president Marcial Alimario, but many, including the youth and technical personnel of the local engineering office, simply look it for granted.  Nobody knew the number of steps it has, when it was constructed and by whom, until Mayor Vicente B.
