PCAMRD, GUGUNITAIN ANG IKA-23 TAON NG PAGKAKATATAG

      LOS BAÑOS, Laguna -   May tema ang pagdiriwang na “Igniting Innovation Towards Technology Commercialization,”  nakatakdang gunitain ng Philippine Council for Aquatic and Marine Research and Development (PCAMRD) ang kanilang ika-23 Anibersaryo ng Pagkakatatag sa darating na Enero 27 – 28, 2011 na gaganapin sa kanilang headquarters ditto na nasa kahabaan ng Jamboree Road sa Barangay Timugan dito, na  inaasahang ang pang-alaalang palatuntunan ay dadaluhan nina Science Secretary Mario G. Montejo at AGHAM Partylist Representative Angelo B. Palmones bilang mga tanging panauhin sang-ayon sa pahayag ni Director Cesario R. Pagdilao, nananagutang pinuno ng Office of the Executive Director.

     Ang pangunahing gawain sa unang araw ng pagdiriwang ay ang pagsasagawa ng isang Core Planning Workshop, at paghahatol sa mga kalahok sa taunang Aquatic Technology Competition (ATCOM), kaalinsabay ng pagtatanghal upang maipakilala ang mga bagong likhang kagamitan, instrumento, at makinarya na tutugon sa pangangailangan ng mga nasa industriya ng pangisdaan.

     Ang groundfloor ng PCAMRD Headquarters Building ay sadyang desinyo para sa mga pagtatanghal ng mga artikulo o produkto ng kalakalan, paalaala ni Director Pagdilao.
     Sa ikalawang araw ng pagdiriwang, o sa Enero 28, ay iuulat ni Director Pagdilao ang mga naisagawa ng kanilang ahensya sa Taong 2010, na susundan ng pagpapahayag ng mga magsisipagwagi sa The Best Research and Development Paper Awards, at sa Aquatic Technology Competition para sa Taong 2011, at ang pagkakaloob sa mga magsisipagwagi ng katibyan ng pagpapahalaga at papuri, na kalakarang may kalakip na cash reward. Passed the BAR Examination in the State of New York, U. S. A.

Miss Philippines-USA 2004-2005, Barbara Jean Chumacera Apostol, 27, passed the New York State’s examination for admission to the BAR given on July 24-25, 2007 . She attained her law degree at Hofstra University School of Law in the State of New York where she graduated with honors last May 20, 2007 . At Hofstra Law School , Barbara was the Vice President of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association and was appointed to the position of Diversity Affairs Coordinator by the president of the Student Bar Association. Ms. Apostol was a 2002 cum luade graduate of Boston College, one of the oldest Jesuit University in the United States with campus in Chestbut Hill, Massachusetts, where she majored in pre-law and communication studies. Incidentally, she completed her elementary and secondary education at Sachem High School in Lake Ronkonkoma, NY. Barbara Jean is a daughter of Antonio Apostol and former Abecinia “Baisy” Chumacera of Barangay San Francisco, San Pablo Ci
