18,000 BD. FT. NA COCO LUMBER, KUMPISKADO

SANTA  CRUZ, Laguna -  Umabot sa  kabuuang 18,000 board feet ng coco lumber na nakalulan sa tatlong sasakyan, na tinatayang nagkakahalaga ng P0.5-milyon na ibinibiyahe ng walang sapat na kapahintulutan mula sa Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) ang nasabat ng Philippine National Police sa Biñan at San Pablo City kamakailan, at ang nabanggit na kconstruction materials na nakakarga sa isang  Isuzu Truck at dalawang van ay naka-impound sa kampo o headquarters ng Laguna Provincial Police Office dito.

     Iniulat ni Provincial Police Director  Sr. Supt. Gilberto DC Cruz na ang pagkasabaqt sa mga kahoy ay bunga ng pagmamanman ng  Intelligence Unit na pinangangasiwaan ni P/Supt. Florendo Saligao, at bahagi ng malawakang kampanya ni Gob. Jeorge “ER” Ejercito Estregan na mapangalagaan ang industriya ng niyog sa lalawigan, na maiuugnay din sa mga isinasagawang pangangalaga upang huwag makalbo ang kapaligiran, na itinataguyod rin ng pangasiwaan ng Philippine National Police. 

     Sa ulat ni Cruz sa punonglalawigan, apat n(4) na katao, na hindi muna ipinagkaloob sa media ang mga pangalan, ang ipinagharap na ng sakdal sa hukuman. At hanggat hindi napagpapasiyahan ng hukuman ang usapin ay mananatiling ang mga sasakyan ay naka-impound sa PNP Compound, samantala ang mga coco lumber ay maaaring ipagkaloob sa mga paggawain ng pamahalaan, tulad ng pagsasaayos ng mga gusaling pampaaralan, at proyektong ipinatutupad ng Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office. Miss Philippines-USA 2004-2005, Barbara Jean Chumacera Apostol, 27, passed the New York State’s examination for admission to the BAR given on July 24-25, 2007 . She attained her law degree at Hofstra University School of Law in the State of New York where she graduated with honors last May 20, 2007 . At Hofstra Law School , Barbara was the Vice President of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association and was appointed to the position of Diversity Affairs Coordinator by the president of the Student Bar Association.
