HIMIG NG PAS-COCOHAN SA LUNSOD NG SAN PABLO, ILULUNSAD

San Pablo City – Nagpatawag ng isang pagpupulong ang Komitiba ng Pas-cocohan sa pamumuno ni City Administrator Loreto “Amben” S. Amante bilang tagapangulo, at G. James Cooper bilang tumatayong pangalawang tagapangulo sa iba’t ibang commercial establishments sa Lunsod hinggil sa bagong proyekto kaugnay ng nalalapit na kapaskuhan  na may temang “Himig ng Pas-Cocohan sa Lunsod ng Pitong Lawa”.

     Upang damhin ang espiritu ng nalalapit na kapaskuhan ay magsasagawa ang naturang Komitiba ng  Christmas Decoration Competition na may temang “Christmas Carol & Cheers”  sa lahat ng mga establisyemento sa kahabaan ng Rizal Ave. panimula sa SPC Cathedral hanggang Puregold.

     Bukas ang naturang patimpalak sa lahat ng mga commercial establishments kabilang ang mga bangko, restaurants, appliances at furniture stores, automotive and motorcycle stores at iba pa. Ang lahat ng entry ay kailangang gamitan ng mga materyales mula sa niyog at iba pang eco-friendly materials. Agad namang pinaalala ni City Admin Amben na mahigpit nilang dinidiscourage ang pagpuputol ng mga punong niyog sa halip ay iminumungkahing nitong gumamit ng mga recyclable at indigenous materials.

     Ang mga isasaling dekorasyon na may 6ft. x 6ft. na sukat ay maaring lagyan ng mga background effects at maaaring  i-display sa harap ng establisyemento kung saan ay visible ito sa kondisyong hindi ito magiging balakid sa daloy ng trapiko.

     Ang kompetisyon ay kailangang  sumunod sa criteria na Concept & Design (50%); Creativity & Execution (30%) at Overall Impact (20%). Ang 1st placer ay tatanggap ng Php30,000.00 plus trophy, Php 20,000.00 plus trophy para sa 2nd placer,  at Php10,000.00 plus trophy para sa 3rd placer kung saan ay isasagawa ang final judging sa December 18, 2010 sa ganap na 6:00 n.h. Passed the BAR Examination in the State of New York, U. S. A.

Miss Philippines-USA 2004-2005, Barbara Jean Chumacera Apostol, 27, passed the New York State’s examination for admission to the BAR given on July 24-25, 2007 . She attained her law degree at Hofstra University School of Law in the State of New York where she graduated with honors last May 20, 2007 . At Hofstra Law School , Barbara was the Vice President of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association and was appointed to the position of Diversity Affairs Coordinator by the president of the Student Bar Association. Ms. Apostol was a 2002 cum luade graduate of Boston College, one of the oldest Jesuit University in the United States with campus in Chestbut Hill, Massachusetts, where she majored in pre-law and communication studies.
