DR. EDELIO B. PANALIGAN AT G. ALEX DIONGLAY NAKUMPIRMA NA ANG APPOINTMENT

     San Pablo City – Pinagtibay na ng Sangguniang Panglunsod sa pamatmatnubay ni Vice Mayor Angelita E. Yang ang confirmation ng appointment nina Dr. Edelio B. Panaligan bilang College Administrator  ng Dalubhasaan ng Lunsod ng San Pablo at G. Alex B. Dionglay bilang City Agriculturist sa nakaraang 6th  regular session ng Sangguniang Panglunsod noong Martes, Agosto 10, 2010.
      Sa bisa ng mosyon ni Kon.  Gener B. Amante bilang Chairman ng Committee on  Human Resources, Good Governance, Public Ethics and Accountability ay naisakatuparan ang pagbibigay konpirmasyon sa pagtatalaga sa dalawang nabanggit bilang mga bagong pinuno ng dalawang  mahahalagang departamento ng Pamahalaang Lunsod. Ito ay bilang pagtugon na rin sa kahilingan ni Punonglunsod Vicente B. Amante na ibinase sa Seksyon 454 (d) ng RA 7160 o mas kilala bilang Local Government Code of 1991.
     Si Dr. Edelio B. Panaligan na nahirang na bagong College Administrator ng DLSP ay tubong Lobo, Batangas. Siya ay nagtapos na 1st Honor sa Lobo Elementary School, Valedictorian sa Lobo Institute.  Nagtapos na Magna Cum Laude sa Western Philippine Colleges noong 1973 sa kursong AB BSE na kilala ngayon bilang University of Batangas. Kumuha ng Master of Arts in Education sa Laguna Colleges at Doctor of Education sa Philippine Normal University.        
     Hindi rin matatawaran ang karanasan ni Dr. Panaligan sa larangan ng Edukasyon. Naging Faculty member siya ng Laguna Colleges mula taong 1974 hanggang 1998, nagturo sa Graduate School ng LC  mula 1988 hanggang 1998, naging Teacher I sa DLSP mula June hanggang December ng taong 1998 hanggang sa maging Associate Professor IV ito ng taong 1999.
     Samantala,  ang bagong hirang na City Agriculturist na si G. Alex B. Dionglay ay nagtapos sa University of the Philippines Los Banos sa kursong BS Agriculture noong taong 1969. Nagsimula itong maglingkod sa BPI noong taong 1969 hanggang 1972 bilang Laborer hanggang maging Production Technician ito ng taong 1981 hanggang 1983. Nakapaglingkod rin ito sa Philippine Coconut Authority bilang Coconut Development Officer ng taong 1986 at Agriculturist II ng taong 2003. Una siyang nakapasok sa City Agriculture Office ng lokal na pamahalaan taong 2007 bilang Assistant City Agriculturist. Nahasa rin ang kakakayahan ni G. Dionglay sa kanyang karanasan bilang Plant Pest Control Officer at Farm Management Technician. (CIO-San Pablo)

Passed the BAR Examination in the State of New York, U. S. A.

Miss Philippines-USA 2004-2005, Barbara Jean Chumacera Apostol, 27, passed the New York State’s examination for admission to the BAR given on July 24-25, 2007 . She attained her law degree at Hofstra University School of Law in the State of New York where she graduated with honors last May 20, 2007 . At Hofstra Law School , Barbara was the Vice President of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association and was appointed to the position of Diversity Affairs Coordinator by the president of the Student Bar Association. Ms. Apostol was a 2002 cum luade graduate of Boston College, one of the oldest Jesuit University in the United States with campus in Chestbut Hill, Massachusetts, where she majored in pre-law and communication studies.
