MAYOR AMANTE HUMILING SA SANGGUNIANG PANLUNSOD PARA SA PAGPAPATAYO NG IBA’T-IBANG PUBLIC ESTABLISHMENTS


     Sa pamamagitan ni Konsehal Dante B. Amante, Chairman on Committee on Government Contracts and Legal Matters ay inihain sa Sangguniang Panlunsod ang amendments sa Resolution. No. 2010-149 sa nakaraang regular session  nuong Agosto 10. Ito ay para sa kahilingan ni Mayor Vicente Amante na mabigyan siya ng authority to negotiate sa mga financial institutions para sa pagpapatayo ng iba’t-ibang public establishments.

     Ang mga bagong proyektong ninananis ng punonglunsod na maitayo sa lunsod ay ang City University upang lalo pang mabigyan ng magandang edukasyon ang lahat ng kabataan sa lunsod. Ang City Central Food Terminal para sa marketing ng iba’t-ibang products ng lunsod. At upang maisaayos ang problema sa trapiko ay magpapatayo rin ng isang City Public Utility Vehicles Central Terminal kasama ang pagbubuo ng isang Traffic Engineering Management Program kung saan ang isang proyekto ay ang installation ng mga Closed Circuit Television (CCTV). Para naman mahikayat ang iba nating kababayan na gawing venue ang lunsod para sa kanilang iba’t-ibang seminar at training workshops at mapalakas ang turismo ay magpapatayo rin ang lunsod ng isang City Convention Center. Ang mga bagong proyektong ito ay para sa lalo pang kaunlaran at progreso ng Lunsod ng San Pablo. (CIO-San Pablo City)

San Pablo City’s Hagdang Bato

             Nobody knew the number of steps it has:   when it was constructed and by whom,   until Mayor Vicente B. Amante asked his private secretary to actually count the number of steps and copy the wordings on the tablets affixed on the lower part of the park structure.             The Hagdang Bato (concrete stairway) leading to the Sampaloc Lake, which is now a famous local landmark, is now part of the logo or official seal of San Pablo, being the City of Seven Lakes.           It was constructed in November 1915 under the administration of municipal president Marcial Alimario, but many, including the youth and technical personnel of the local engineering office, simply look it for granted.  Nobody knew the number of steps it has, when it was constructed and by whom, until Mayor Vicente B.
