SAN PABLENANG MIYEMBRO NG UST SINGERS PINARANGALAN

     San Pablo City -  Isa na namang San Pablena ang muling nakapagbigay ng karangalan sa Lunsod ng San Pablo sa larangan ng musika. Pinarangalan si Bb. Maybel B. Adriano ni Punonglunsod Vicente B. Amante na kinatawan ni City Administrator Loreto “Amben” S. Amante at ni Bise Alkalde Angelita E. Yang noong nakaraang Lunes (Agosto 9) sa isinagawang lingguhang pagtataas ng watawat sa One Stop Processing. Center.

     Si Maybel ay anak nina Konsehal Angelo Adriano at ng maybahay nitong si Maricon ay kabilang sa miyembro ng pamosong grupo na University of Sto. Tomas Singers. Ang grupo ay marami ng beses na nagkamit ng mga karangalan sa mga international competitions. Ilan sa mga ito ay ang mga sumusunod:  First Prize Award sa Festival Internacionale De Musica sa Catalonia Spain noong nakaraang Hulyo 15-18, 2010; Choir of the World sa 63rd Llangolen International Music Competition sa Wales, United Kingdom noong nakaraang Hulyo 6-11, 2010; Golden Diploma for Excellent Performance sa 6th International Choir Festival Mundus   sa Sopot, Poland noong nakaraang  Mayo 19-23, 2010; nahirang rin silang Outstanding Performer sa  56th Cork International Choral Festival sa Ireland, United Kingdom noong Abril 28 hangang Mayo 2, 2010; at nakamit ang First Prize Award sa 17th Bangor International Choir Festival in New Ireland, United Kingdom noong Abril 21-25, 2010.

     Ikinarangal naman ni City Admin. Amben ang mga natamong karangalan ng grupo at hiniling na sana’y magsilbi itong inspirasyon sa lahat ng kabataang San Pableno upang linangin ang kanilang mga angking galing at talino. Samantala, isang complimentary cd ang  inabot ni Bb. Adriano sa administrador at kay VM Angie bilang pasasalamat sa gawad parangal na ipinagkaloob sa kanya. (CIO-San Pablo)

Passed the BAR Examination in the State of New York, U. S. A.

Miss Philippines-USA 2004-2005, Barbara Jean Chumacera Apostol, 27, passed the New York State’s examination for admission to the BAR given on July 24-25, 2007 . She attained her law degree at Hofstra University School of Law in the State of New York where she graduated with honors last May 20, 2007 . At Hofstra Law School , Barbara was the Vice President of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association and was appointed to the position of Diversity Affairs Coordinator by the president of the Student Bar Association. Ms. Apostol was a 2002 cum luade graduate of Boston College, one of the oldest Jesuit University in the United States with campus in Chestbut Hill, Massachusetts, where she majored in pre-law and communication studies.
